Daisy Makeig-Jones, as a lead designer at Wedgwood in the 1920s, created whimsical and vibrant pieces in her Ordinary and Fairyland Lustre lines. Most of these were useful wares (plates, vases, bowls), but a few really special Lustrewares were designed for everyday wear as jewelry. Few brooches survive today, making this ‘Chi Khiang’ brooch a rare relic of Makeig-Jones’s wearable art.
