This butterfly lustre vase is a gorgeous example of Daisy Makeig-Jones’s unique artistry. The Butterfly pattern, Z4832, was one of the first ten lustreware designs issued by Wedgwood between 1914 and 1915. Its introduction corresponded with Daisy becoming a lead designer at the company in 1914. The interior of the vase is painted with Daisy’s favorite deep orange. The base has the printed Portland Vase mark as well as the impressed vase shape #2043.
